Horseradish (Armoracia rusticana) is a perennial plant, native to south-eastern Europe to western Asia. Horseradish has a long white taproot (horseradish root) that is used in grated form as a spicy and healthy condiment. In fact, horseradish contains a lot of vitamin C. Horseradish is very suitable for naturalizing and is also an excellent garden plant. Leave them in the ground and they’ll bloom profusely every year. The flowering period is April - May.
