Canna bulbs - very unusual and tropical looking lilies

Canna lilies are truly very unusual and tropical looking lilies. With their brightly coloured and beautifully shaped flowers, Cannas really catch the eye. These spectacular summer flowering bulbs bloom from July to September. As they don’t tolerate cold very well, it’s best to plant them from April onwards. And as with all flower bulbs, once planted, they don’t require too much attention to thrive. Cannas are also excellent pot plants.

How do I combine Canna lilies

Canna lilies are available in bold red and bright yellow flowers. You may ask yourself which other plants you can combine them with. The answer is, a lot. You can buy Canna lilies in our Square meter yellow and red flower bulb mixes that contain similarly coloured Dahlia’s and Irises and Gladiolus bulbs. You can also buy Canna lilies separately. A nice way to combine those, and extend your tropical flowering period, is to grow them together with Calla lilies or Iris Germanica varieties.
