Hemerocallis – daylilies are true garden treasures

Daylilies, or Hemerocallis, are true garden treasures. They look stunning in flower- borders or spilling over pathways. True to their name, Daylily flowers only bloom one day, but because they bloom so abundantly, you can be sure to enjoy a long flowering-period all summer long. Hemerocallis garden plants are very decorative. With fresh grass-like leaves and lovely exotic looking flowers (available in a large variety of colours).

Caring for your Daylilies (Hemerocallis)

Daylilies are easy to care for and low maintenance plants. It’s a plant you can literally place in the ground and forget about. However, to let them thrive, make sure your lilies get enough sunlight (6 hours a day) and enough water. Dead-heading the plant (removing the day’s faded flowers) gives them a neat appearance. If they grow too big, the plants can be easily dug up, divided and replanted. Besides being an excellent garden-plant, Hemerocallis are also stunning container plants for placement on the terrace or balcony.
