Plants, bulbs and seeds are living products. That’s part of what makes gardening so enjoyable, but it can also bring a little uncertainty, especially when ordering online. Unlike many other products, plant growth after delivery is not covered by a standard legal guarantee.


With our Growing Guarantee, you can order with added confidence. We support your purchase for one full growing season. If your plant, bulb or seedling fails to establish or grow properly within 12 months of delivery, we will work with you to find a suitable solution. Depending on the situation, this may be a replacement product or store credit equal to the original purchase value.


This is how we combine horticultural expertise with the level of customer care you would expect from a trusted garden centre.


Growing Guarantee

Our Growing Guarantee is an optional extra service that can be added to your order for a small one-off fee.


The service covers one full growing season from the date of delivery. If your plant or bulb fails to thrive within 12 months, despite normal care and suitable growing conditions, we will offer an appropriate solution. This may include a replacement product or store credit equal to the value of the original item.


The one-off fee allows us to offer this service responsibly and fairly, while ensuring every request is assessed carefully by experienced specialists.


VIP Service

Alongside our Growing Guarantee, we also offer an exclusive VIP Service.


With the VIP Service, your order receives priority processing and dispatch ahead of standard orders, helping your products arrive as quickly as possible.


What is covered?

Our Growing Guarantee applies where a product fails to grow and/or flower despite normal care. The guarantee covers:

  • Garden plants
  • Flower bulbs
  • Garden seeds

Every request is reviewed carefully using both horticultural knowledge and practical growing experience.


When does the guarantee apply?

To make use of the Growing Guarantee, we ask that you:

  • take a clear photograph of the plant, bulb or seed packaging immediately upon delivery
  • keep this photograph during the guarantee period
  • ensure the product receives normal care
  • plant or position the product in suitable growing conditions
  • follow the supplied planting and care instructions
  • sow seeds according to the recommended timing, depth and growing conditions

Damage caused by overwatering, underwatering, unsuitable positioning or incorrect treatment is not covered.


What is not covered?

Some circumstances are beyond both our control and yours. The Growing Guarantee therefore does not apply to:

  • damage caused by animals such as rabbits, mice, birds or deer
  • weather conditions outside normal seasonal averages, including severe frost, heatwaves, storms, hail, prolonged drought or flooding
  • incorrect treatment, including improper pruning, transplanting, sowing or planting
  • planting bulbs too deeply
  • damage caused by over-fertilising
  • damage caused by consistently too much or too little water

How to make a claim

If something does go wrong despite proper care, we are happy to help.

Please contact us as soon as possible using the online contact form on our website and include:

  • the photograph taken upon delivery
  • current photographs showing the issue
  • your order number

Unfortunately, we are unable to process claims without photographs and an order number. Our specialists will review your request and contact you with a suitable solution if the Growing Guarantee applies.

Legal terms – Growing Guarantee & VIP Service

The Growing Guarantee and VIP Service are optional additional services and do not form part of the statutory consumer guarantee. A small one-off fee applies when selecting the Growing Guarantee and/or VIP Service.


The Growing Guarantee and/or VIP Service can only be added during checkout and are linked to the specific product purchased. The one-off fee is non-refundable, including where a claim is approved.


Where a claim under the Growing Guarantee is accepted, compensation will be provided in the form of either:

  • a replacement product, or
  • store credit equal to the original purchase value

Cash refunds are excluded.


No rights may be derived from the Growing Guarantee for future purchases. The garden centre reserves the right to assess all claims individually.


The Growing Guarantee applies exclusively to garden plants, flower bulbs and garden seeds and remains valid for one growing season, up to a maximum of 12 months after delivery.


The VIP Service provides priority order processing and includes one additional year of guarantee cover on top of the selected Growing Guarantee.


The Growing Guarantee only applies if:

  • a clear photograph of the delivered product was taken upon arrival
  • the product received normal care and was planted or positioned correctly
  • the supplied planting and care instructions were followed

The Growing Guarantee does not apply in cases of damage or failure caused by:

  • weather conditions outside normal seasonal averages, including prolonged frost below –5 °C, temperatures above 30 °C, storms, hail, prolonged drought or flooding
  • damage caused by animals
  • incorrect treatment, including improper pruning, transplanting, sowing or planting
  • consistently too much or too little water
  • over-fertilising

If a claim falls within the Growing Guarantee, Koeman Flowerbulbs reserves the right to decide whether a replacement product or store credit equal to the original purchase value will be offered. Cash refunds are excluded.

Koeman Flowerbulbs reserves the right to assess all claims individually. No rights may be derived from this service for future purchases.

Will I receive the one-off fee back if I make a claim?

No, the one-off fee is non-refundable. If your claim is approved, you will receive a replacement product or store credit equal to the value of the original item.
