Flower bulb collection for layered planting (bulb lasagne)
This flower bulb collection is suitable for layered planting, also known as lasagne planting. This technique involves planting flower bulbs in several layers in a pot or container. Place bulbs that need a greater planting depth at the bottom, with those requiring a shallower planting depth above them. Follow the recommended planting depth for each variety and use a pot with drainage holes. This makes the most of the available space and, depending on the varieties in the collection, gives you flowers that bloom together or in succession.
Care
Plant the bulbs in autumn in a sunny or partially shaded position with well-drained soil. Plant each bulb at its recommended depth and allow the foliage to die back naturally after flowering.
Combine with
Looks beautiful alongside herbaceous perennials and ornamental grasses that emerge later in the season.
