Freesias are among the most popular cut flowers in the world, their intensely sweet fragrance can perfume an entire room. These unusual funnel shaped flowers in a mixture of pink, red, white, yellow and violet stand erect on tall stems. They are superb in borders or planters on your patio or terrace.

Plant Freesia tubers in moist soil and do not water for a few days to prevent them from rotting. Plant the tubers in spring to end May and they will bloom in July / August. Freesias are not winter hardy and need to be lifted before first frosts. They prefer semi-shade to full sun.
